Girlie… I Think You Got Played
Exploring the lived experience of womanhood within a society that gaslights its own creators. Behind the candy-colored gloss and exaggerated expression lies the exhaustion of being dismissed. Seen as too emotional, dramatic, or less capable while still carrying the invisible weight of unpaid labor and overperformance. The clown-like mask becomes both armor and irony: a way to survive, to laugh, and to keep going even when the joke’s on us.
